Administrative, economic staff of medical institutions benefit from salaries higher by 57 per cent in Moldova as of 1 November

Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government today made amendments to the regulation on the payment of salaries to the employees from the public medical and sanitary institutions involved in the system of mandatory health insurances. According to the new adjustings, after the increase, the salaries will oscillate between 3,840 and 9,090 lei, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
More exactly, specialists with higher education will monthly get a salary of 9,090 lei; the ones with secondary specialty education will receive 7,680 lei, the qualified workers – 5,040 lei and the unqualified workers – 3,840 lei. The wages will grow by 37 per cent for the non-medical leadership staff.
The expenses needed for enforcing the draft, starting from 1 November 2021, are planned within the mandatory health insurances accounts (FAOAM) for 2021, following the rectification of the Law on FAOAM for this year. The necessary expenditures related to the increase in salaries proposed in the draft are estimated at about 22, 923.2 thousand lei monthly or 45, 846.4 thousand lei for two months of 2021, (November and December). The annual cost of these expenses reaches 275, 078.4 thousand lei.
The present decision enters into force on the date of its publication in Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial), with the enforcement of its provisions starting from 1 November 2021.
