More agreements, conventions on avoidance of double taxation, prevention of fiscal evasion to be changed in Moldova

Chisinau, 3 November /MOLDPRES/ - The government has approved the initiation of negotiations and the signing of more protocols on amendment of Agreements and Conventions on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion as to the income tax. In this respect, the cabinet members today approved six decisions, the government’s communication and protocol has reported.
Thus, it is about the Agreement between the government of Moldova and Uzbekistan, signed on 30 March 1995, Tajikistan, on 5 November 2002, with Belarus, on 23 December 1994 and Kyrgyzstan, on 17 April 2004. Also, the amendments approved relate to the Convention signed with Turkmenistan on 24 July 2013. The initiative on change belongs to the Moldovan side.
At the same time, the government approved the signing of the protocol on modification of the Convention with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, compiled in Chisinau on 11 July 2007.
The main goal of the projects is to implement the recommendations of the Global Forum of OCDE on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (exchange of information demanded).
The institution in charge of the negotiation and signing of the drafts on the amendment of the concerned Agreements and Conventions is the Finance Ministry.
