About 7,200 homes purchased under First Home Program

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- So far, 7,186 homes have been purchased through the First Home program. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 3.87 billion lei, and the total value of active guarantees is 1.89 billion lei.
According to the Ministry of Finance, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 5,391 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget for the partial coverage of the expenses for the payment of the mortgage loan within the Program, of which, 1,263 persons in the First Home Program 2, 3 021 - in First House Program 3, 1 095 - in the First House Program 4 and 12 - in the First House Program 5.
Out of the 7,186 beneficiaries, 4,931 are families and 2,255 are unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31 years. The average area of housing purchased through the Program is 60.7 m.p. The average value of purchased homes is 631.19 thousand lei. Out of the total number of purchased homes, 6,524 are apartments, and 662 - individual houses.
The beneficiary of the governmental program First Home may be a citizen of the Republic of Moldova, aged between 18 and 50 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in the country and has income from official sources. The share of the initial own participation is 5% of the purchase price of the dwelling.
