Intelligence Service blocked three sites promoting fake news

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- The Intelligence and Security Service announced today that it had requested the blocking of three sites that promoted fake news.

Among the fake materials promoted by the respective online portals are news related to the disconnection from electricity, the cessation of the supply of electricity by the Cuciurgan Thermal Power Plant, the temporary extinguishing of the Eternal Fire at the Memorial Complex Eternity in the capital.

In this context, the SIS calls on the online resources that have taken over and distributed the targeted information to remove it. At the same time, in order to reduce the impact of false news, the institution urges citizens to send the information to the e-mail address [email protected] in case of their identification as well as the false accounts used on social networks used in the intensive distribution of misinformation.
