Teleradio-Moldova company returned under parliamentary control

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/- Teleradio-Moldova company returns today under parliamentary control. A draft law in this regard was adopted today in the final reading, with the vote of 56 deputies.

According to the project, the return under the control of the Parliament will make the national public provider, the Teleradio-Moldova company, responsible. Another provision of the draft law is the revision of the mechanism for the composition of the Supervisory Board of the national public media service provider and the Audiovisual Council (CA), in order to establish clarity and proportional representation in the process of nominating candidates for the position of member of these councils.

At the same time, the draft law stipulates that the members of the Board of Directors be dismissed, in case the Parliament rejects the annual activity report.

Until 2019, the Teleradio-Moldova Company has always been under the control of the Legislature.
