Well-known Moldovan poet edits anthology of poems for children

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - An anthology of poems for children titled, Toate întâmplările se prefac în cuvinte(All events turn into words) by poet Vasile Romanciuc has recently appeared at a publishing house from Chisinau.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Vasile Romanciuc said the volume comprised 136 pages and is a selection of previous books for children.
Vasile Romanciuc was born in the Bădragii Noi village, Edinet district, on 17 December 1947. In 1972, he graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the Moldovan State University. He worked as editor at Radio Moldova, adviser at the Writers’ Union, editor at the publishing houses Museum, Gheorghe Asachi, Literatura Artistică and Prut. Romanciuc edited more volumes of poems.
The poet was awarded the National Prize of Moldova in 2000, the Grand Prix for Poetry Nichita Stanescu (Ploiesti, Romania), Honorary Diploma of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) (Basel, Switzerland, 2002, and Athens, Greece, 2018), the Opera Omnia Prize of the Moldovan Writers’ Union (2015), the Order of Honour of Moldova (2010) and the Order of the Republic (2021), as well as the Cultural Merit Order in rank of Officer (Romania, 2014).
