Austrian group Gebauer&Griller to create another 500 jobs in Moldova

Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the company with foreign capital, GG Cables and Wires EE Ltd, has informed that it would extend its production in Moldova, during a visit to the Balti Free Economic Zone (FEZ Balti) by Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita. The company is to invest another 12 million euros, which will generate another 500 new jobs, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.      

Presently, over 700 employees work at the two factories of the Austrian group Gebauer&Griller. The investments amount to about 54 million dollars.    

The company’s leadership said it might further increase the investments; yet, the migration and deficit of staff represents a problem.   

„To be able to keep people at home, we must enhance their confidence in the state’s institutions and in the future. Namely therefore, we prioritize the fight with the corruption, the justice reform and the good governance in all sectors managed by the state. We will carry out active policies in the labour force field, after 30 years during which almost no palpable changes have been occurred in this respect. We will also continue the investments in the quality education and health services, in order to develop the human capital. The four years of political stability will help us do this and, the most important thing, to further attract big investors and create well-paid jobs,’’ Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita said.
