Chisinau, 4 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE) has issued a new Instruction. Under the document, the Moldovagaz stock company will submit an application to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), in order to adjust the regulated prices for the providing of natural gas. Respectively, till 10 November, ANRE will have to establish new temporary tariffs, which will be applicable as of 1 November 2021, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
At the same time, the Labour and Social Protection Ministry is to prepare a string of measures for compensating the natural gas invoices for some categories of citizens.
The CSE members ruled that the Termoelectrica stock company would no longer use fuel oil in the technological process and would return to the production of thermal and electric energy based on natural gas.
For Moldova to no longer face such energy crises in the long run, the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry has the task to initiate the process of strengthening the country’s energy security.
