Chisinau, 5 November /MOLDPRES/- The Official Journal today published the Government decision, which includes normative acts on the establishment and management of the national hunting fund, which is the secondary regulatory framework necessary to implement the provisions of the Law on Hunting and Hunting Fund, which entered into force on 1 March 2021.
In order to regulate the hunting and fund management activity, three regulations were approved, which stipulate the criteria and the way of setting up the hunting fund; the rules for the protection of agricultural crops, forest and domestic animals against damage caused by wildlife of hunting interest and how to repair the damage, as well as the rules on hunting specimens of wildlife species of hunting interest and the characteristics of the means used in hunting.
According to the Ministry of Environment, in the context of the approval of these regulations, it is necessary to address an equity in covering the costs of organizing and carrying out the organized hunting activity for "wild boar" hunting, because at present, these expenses are largely borne by public authorities. "Moldsilva", the National Agency for Food Safety) and less by the participants in the hunt, the hunting authorization being only 2500 lei, paid in full by the entire group of hunters. Therefore, given the need to make more efficient use of public money, it was proposed that the "Fee of 2,500 lei for an authorization" be paid by each hunter with the right to shoot, who participates in the hunt.
Also, given the criticisms brought by civil society to the Law on Hunting and Game Fund, the Ministry of Environment will initiate the revision of the law during 2022. The process will involve all stakeholders, including representatives of civil society organizations and landowners, such as so that the emphasis is on the conservation of wildlife and soil.
