Under the document published, the government, in a three-month term after the date of publication of the present law, will submit to parliament proposals to bring the legislation in force in line with the present law and adjust its normative acts to the current law.
At a meeting on 4 November, the lawmakers ruled to return the Teleradio-Moldova Company under parliament’s control.
Another amendment made to the law sees the revising of the mechanism of establishing the composition of the supervision council of the national public provider of media services and of the Audiovisual Council (CA), in order to set clarity and a proportional representation in the process of nominating candidates for the office of member in these councils.
