Authorities examined construction of M.Eminescu high school from Comrat

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- The construction project of a new building of Mihai Eminescu high school in Comrat was examined today by governor of Gagauzia Irina Vlah and Oxana Isac, head of the Social Investment Fund of Moldova. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the contracting organization.

Work on the project began in 2020. The meeting focused on stages of construction of the building and some technical details related to the commissioning of the new building.

Currently, on the site, the roof installation works, the internal electrical networks, the water supply and sewerage works have been completed. Also, the internal construction and landscaping works are underway.

At the same time, some types of work in the program have been suspended or are being delayed. One of the reasons is the significant increase in prices for construction materials. The price difference within the project was 1.7 million lei. According to experts, for the commissioning of the building, it is necessary to carry out additional works, the value of which exceeds 1.5 million lei.

"The executive committee of the Autonomy will work with the government to find additional funds needed to complete the construction of the high school. This is an important project for us, which aims to modernize the education system as a whole," said Irina Vlah.

Mihai Eminescu high school construction is financed by the Romanian government through the FISM, for this purpose a grant of 15 million lei is allocated. Over five million lei was the contribution of the Government of the Republic of Moldova.
