As many as 977 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 7,479 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 977 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eight out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 354,755 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 18 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 8 medical assistance and 5 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 2,383 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 288 are in extremely serious condition and 38 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 6,768 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,486 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,462 people have been treated. As many as 333,084 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 53 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 8,602 people have died of coronavirus in all.
