PAS MPs unveiled activity report for 100 days

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/- MPs of the Action and Solidarity Party / PAS / Mihail Popșoi, Dumitru Alaiba, Olesea Stamate, Doina Gherman and Dan Perciun held a press conference today, and unveiled activity report of PAS parliamentary faction for 100 days.

MPs reviewed the legislative initiatives that were voted on. These include the new mechanism for verifying the assets of officials and the law providing for the exclusion of offshore secrecy. "Another initiative focuses on digitizing the economy, entrepreneurs will no longer be in line with the documents. Digitization is an inevitable process, and we are lagging behind. We have to recover on it", said Popșoi.

He noted that despite the pandemic, energy and justice crises, pensions and allowances had been increased. Also, the salaries of the household staff in the hospitals have been increased and compensations will be offered for gas bills. "Another project stipulates that people who have debts cannot be evicted from their homes during the winter. Another law has to do with audiovisual. We voted against the activity of the Audiovisual Council and we want an independent press. We also brought the national television back under the control of the Parliament ", Popșoi said.

Another initiative was the ratification of the Istanbul Convention. The elected representatives of the people stated that the reforms must continue in all areas, including the judiciary.
