Over 130,000 ballots to be printed for new local elections

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau Printing House today began printing ballots for new local elections on 21 November.
The Central Electoral Commission approved the printing of 130,917 ballots. Thus, for the election of the mayor of Balti, 102,105 ballot papers will be printed, of which 51,988 in Romanian and 50,117 in Russian.
For the election of mayors in the other 14 localities, 28,812 ballots will be printed, of which 24,538 in Romanian and 4,274 in Russian.
Total value of the ballot print run is 25,921.57 lei.
According to the Electoral Code, the process of printing ballots began in the presence of representatives of electoral contestants, the media and election observers. They witnessed the process of making the ballot mold, printing the ballots, as well as the liquidation of the mold.
On 21 November new local elections for mayor will take place in 15 localities in the country.
