Children over 12 to be able to be immunized against COVID-19 starting tomorrow

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/- Starting tomorrow, children over the age of 12 can be vaccinated against COVID-19. The Ministry of Health made the statement today.

State Secretary Svetlana Nicolaescu said that vaccination will be allowed only on the basis of a written request from parents or guardians and with their written consent.

Immunization will be done only in vaccination centers in medical institutions, vaccination will not be allowed in mobile points. Minors will be immunized with Pfizer vaccines. Two doses of vaccine will be given every 21 days.

So far, 1575,729 doses of vaccine have been administered in the Republic of Moldova. The health authorities announce that more than 70 percent of the country's population must be vaccinated to achieve the necessary immunity.
