Term of turning to account last instalment of 1.5 million euros on power transport signed with top European bank to be extended

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved a draft decision on starring negotiations and approving the signing of the Amendment No 4 to the contract on financing between Moldova and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on the implementation of the project titled, Power transport by Moldelectrica, signed on 26 June 2012 and worked out by the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the draft’s goal is to extend the availability term – till 30 December 2022, in order to turn to good account the last installment of 1.5 million euros from the contract on financing signed with EIB on the project, Power transport, implemented by the Moldelectrica state enterprise.
This project will contribute to the country’s energy security, maintaining the efficiency of the power transport service and strengthening the safety in the work of high-tension networks.
The availability of financial means will allow the Moldelectrica state enterprise to finish the last tender on this project C, on the reconstruction of power sub-stations.
