State control in social ássistance sector to be strengthene, optimized in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet today gave a positive notification to the draft law on the optimization of the mechanism of inspection and state control in the field of social assistance and strengthening the status of the Social Inspection, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Additionally, the draft law contains provisions for enhancing the responsibility of the public administration authorities and providers of social services, no matter the type of property and legal form of organization. The draft also establishes measures of increasing the responsibility of beneficiaries, in order to declare correct the information on the risk situation, which can lead to setting the right of social assistance.

According to the draft law, the Social Inspection will be renamed into State Social Inspectorate. It will be set up as a separate organizational structure in the administrative system of the Labour and Social Protection Ministry and will exercise exclusively the duties of supervision and state control in sub-sectors or spheres of activity of the ministry.
