Moldova, Ukraine to sign agreement on mutual recognition of education documents

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - The procedures of recognition of the education documents, qualifications and scientific titles between Moldova and Ukraine will be facilitated based on a new agreement between the two states. A decision to this effect was approved at a today’s cabinet meeting.

The document will establish the types of education acts, from all levels of education, which are being mutually recognized – beginning with the education documents from the general education and ending with the scientific titles.

The agreement’s implementation will contribute to the promotion of the academic and professional mobility, will enhance the quality of studies and training of highly-qualified specialists.

Also, opportunities will be created for the development of inter-human contacts and stimulating the cooperation between the education institutions from both countries.

The document will replace the agreement on the recognition of education documents, signed between Moldova and Ukraine in 2001.
