Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- Yesterday, regional authorities from the center of the country carried out a post-implementation monitoring visit of the construction project of the local road L452 on the route Scoreni village, Straseni district - Malcoci village, Ialoveni district. The specialists aimed to assess the impact of the project in the community, finding that it has achieved its objectives.
According to the funding application, the activities for which financial coverage was requested concerned the realization of the technical project for road construction and its actual construction. The financing of the project was from the sources of the National Fund for Regional Development.
The monitoring commission found that most of the initially proposed objectives were achieved following the implementation of the project. “Thus, the regional infrastructure has been improved; the travel distance was reduced by 10 km on the route Scoreni - Malcoci - Chisinau (from 36 to 26 km); an additional evening route was created for students who commute daily to the capital through the town of Malcoci; the households are protected from alluvium, through the rainwater drainage system of the renovated road ”, the Centru Regional Development Agency said.
These are also some major results of the project, such as fuel economy for carriers, which means cheaper services for passengers; rehabilitated infrastructure in the Siret-Prut-Dniester Euroregion; increased volume of trade in goods between localities near the capital; reduced pollution of the environment by saving fuel; newly developed economic activities, such as cold storage; more employment opportunities for locals, etc.
In 2016, by Government Decision, the section L452 Scoreni-Malcoci, with a length of 6.2 km, was classified as a regional road and passed into the management of the State Road Administration.
