State budget law for 2021 to be amended

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- Draft amendment to the State Budget Law for this year was adopted today in the first reading.

According to the draft, the change in the budget is conditioned by the state of emergency in the energy sector and the need to take legislative measures to overcome it.

Thus, the revenues of the state budget will be increased by 767.8 million lei - up to 45,862.4 billion lei, the expenditures by 421.7 million lei - up to 57,654.3 billion lei. The budget deficit decreases by 346.1 million lei and constitutes 11.792 billion lei or 5.1% of GDP.

210 million lei - intended to compensate for the difference in tariffs for natural gas and thermal energy. Another 139 million lei will be transferred to the state social insurance budget, of which 104 million lei - as a result of the increase in aid for the cold period of the year, as well as the increase in the number of disadvantaged families who will benefit from such support from state.

The Parliament declared a state of emergency throughout the country, on 22 October - 20 November.
