SIS employee suspected of disclosing information on state secret

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- SIS together with the Prosecutor's Office carried out this morning criminal procedural measures regarding an intelligence officer, with a leading position. He is suspected of disclosing to third parties the information that is state secret.

According to the SIS, today the law enforcement officers went down to the officer's office and to the officer's home, with information storage devices and documents being erected. He has fully admitted his guilt and is cooperating with the investigation.

The SIS employee is criminally investigated for committing the crime provided by art. 344 para. (1) of the Criminal Code - the disclosure of information that is state secret by a person to whom this information has been entrusted or has become known in connection with his service or work.

Also today, the SIS employee was suspended from office.
