Vaccinated Moldovans can download COVID certificates homologated in EU

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The holders of COVID certificates, issued by the national system till 16 November 2021, should repeatedly download the document from the page www.certificate-covid.gov.md, in order to get the variant homologated and accepted by the EU authorities. The Health Ministry (MS) has made statements to this effect.

According to the ministry, to verify the newly downloaded certificates, the platform www.certificate-covid.gov.md can be accessed, or any application interconnected with the European gateway, which centralizes the public keys of verifying the certificates issued in the European Union. The applications can be downloaded for free from the shop of applications Google Play or App Store on a mobile phone or a tablet. The application allows the verification and validation of the EU digital certificates on COVID, generated both in Moldova and in the other states interconnected to the European information system.

The Covid-19 certificate comprises three distinct types of certificates: vaccination certificate, the testing certificate and the recovery certificate. The vaccination certificate contains the type of the vaccine and the producer, number of doses administered and the date of immunization.

All certificates with all types of vaccine available in Moldova are valid in Moldova, for internal use.

On 15 November, the European Commission approved the decision to equalize the COVID certificate released by Moldova’s electronic system with the one issued in the European Union countries.
