Director of Termoelectrica heating supply enterprise says there is no risk for Chisinau residents to remain without thermal agent

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau residents will not remain without thermal agent, even if the price of one Gcal will increase.

At a today’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), the director general of Termoelectrica enterprise, Veaceslav Eni, said that, despite the increases in price for one Gcal supplied, ‘’there is no risk for the Chisinau residents to remain without thermal agent.’’ According to Eni, one Gcal should have the price of 1,770 lei, from which the authorities would compensate 450 lei. ‘’Following the increase in the price for one cubic metre of natural gas, I asked the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) to increase the price of one Gcal; they are to set their opinion. According to our calculations, one Gcal should grow by about 650 lei. The compensation by the government of the sum of 450 lei will make this price increase not be so drastic,’’ Veaceslav Eni noted.  

The parliament today adopted, in the first reading, the draft law on the compensation of the expenses for the consumption of natural gas and thermal energy. Under the document, the household consumers will benefit from the compensation of the difference of the spending for the consumption of natural gas and thermal energy, as a result of the increase in the tariffs for these utilities.
