Director of Moldova's National Anticorruption Centre dismissed from office

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The director of the National Anticorruption Centre (CNA), Ruslan Flocea, was dismissed from office today.
The today’s parliament decision can be appealed in line with the provisions of Moldova’s Administrative Code.
Till the appointment of a new CNA director, one of the deputy directors will hold the office of acting director.
Under the legislation, the director of the National Anticorruption Centre is appointed to office by the parliament, with the votes of the majority of the lawmakers elected, at a proposal by at least 20 MPs. The CNA director is appointed for a five-year mandate, without possibility to be nominated for a new term.
