As many as 802 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 6,368 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 802 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. Eleven out of the new cases are import ones. Thus, 356,448 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data by the Health Ministry (MS), 16 out of all infection cases are among medical employees (5 physicians, 5 medical assistance and 6 auxiliary staff employees).

As many as 1,981 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are hospitalized in all, of whom 226 are in extremely serious condition and 35 patients are connected to mechanical ventilation.

In the context, 6,288 persons are treated at home with light and moderate forms of coronavirus and 11,383 are under supervision at home.

Another 1,001 people have been treated. As many as 337,460 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MS informs about the registration of another 48 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 8,709 people have died of coronavirus in all. The ministry specified that these deaths had been registered on the period 14 September – 18 November 2021.
