Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The simple motion on the policies of the Health Ministry failed to meet the needed number of votes in parliament today.
After the speech by Health Minister Ala Nemerenco, several hours of discussions and speeches by representatives of parliamentary factions followed.
Six out of the 66 lawmakers present in the session hall voted for the motion, 52 voted against and eight MPs abstained from voting.
The simple motion was initiated by the lawmakers of the parliamentary faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, who invoked ‘’the inefficient management of the sanitary crisis, triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic.’’
Under the parliament’s regulation, the simple motion is adopted with the votes of the majority of the MPs present at the meeting.
