Labor Inspectorate carried out over two thousand inspections in first ten months of 2021

Chisinau, 19 November / MOLDPRES /- Most often, employers commit violations of the legal norms related to the establishment of the salary and the observance of the terms of its payment, as well as to the organization of the protection and prevention activity at unit level, according to a report of the State Labor Inspectorate (ISM), under controls carried out in January-October 2021.

During the reference period, the institution's inspectors performed 2050 controls. As a result of the inspection actions, 14369 violations and deviations from the provisions of legislative and normative acts were established and recorded, of which 8743 in labor relations and 5626 in occupational safety and health. The inspectors reiterate that the verifications show that the employers most frequently commit violations of the legal norms related to the establishment of the salary.

Thus, in order to monitor the manner and terms of payment of salaries, during the analyzed period, 302 controls (148 planned and 154 unexpected) were performed at units that admitted arrears of salaries and other payments in the amount of 39.6 million lei compared to 3846 employees.

As a result, the inspectors drew up control minutes in which terms were established for the liquidation of salary arrears. Pursuant to the provisions of the Contravention Code, for the intentional violation of the terms of payment of salaries, allowances and other permanent payments established by law, 37 reports were made on contravention, which were submitted for examination to the court, and the employees were paid outstanding payments in the amount of about 6.3 million lei.

Intensification of control in order to detect tax evasion and counteract the phenomenon of "undeclared work", in January-October, 71 employers of legal entities and 28 employers of individuals were detected 71 people working without legal forms of employment, of which ten were minors.

For the performance of the work, without drawing up an individual employment contract and the use of undeclared work, 43 reports were made on contravention, which were also submitted for examination to the court. At the same time, eight people were reinstated, their employment relationships being legalized.
