Today - last day for electoral agitation on new local elections on 21 November

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission has warned that today is the last day for election agitation for the new local elections to be held on 21 November.
According to the Electoral Code, electoral agitation is strictly prohibited on election day and the day before it. During this period, the appearance of candidates in elections for television or radio programs is also not allowed. The ban does not apply to information already posted on the internet and on previously displayed posters.
At the same time, the electoral contestants cannot make transfers to / from the account with the mention Electoral fund.
Continuation of the electoral agitation on the days mentioned by the media, electoral contestants and citizens constitutes an administrative contravention and is sanctioned with a fine, from 15 to 30 conventional units applied to private people or with a fine from 35 to 50 conventional units, applied to the person depending on the responsibility or the electoral competitor.
On November 21, new local elections will be held in 15 localities, including Balti. According to the Central Electoral Commission, more than 130,600 citizens with the right to vote are expected at the polls.
