Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/- Energy situation, gas and energy prices will be discussed at next meeting of the Supreme Security Council. President Maia Sandu made the statemet today.
She said that our country needs a complex plan to ensure energy security and to diversify energy sources.
"The increase in gas prices comes from the realities of the foreign market. We do not have gas and we buy it from abroad, we have to bear the price increases even if the Government has tried to negotiate lower costs. Shocks on this foreign market may exist and we will work on a long-term plan to achieve security ", Sandu said.
The official noted that she did not go to Moscow to negotiate the price of gas, because the negotiations took place between Moldovagaz and Gazprom.
"Moldovagaz is an enterprise in which the state does not have the majority of shares, it is a commercial enterprise. Where did you see the head of state get involved in the economic agents' business? ”, she said.
