Moldovan deputy premier agreed transport issues in Kiev

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spinu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development is on a working visit to Kiev. He had a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Oleksandr Kubrakov. The officials' agenda included several important issues.

According to Andrei Spinu, following the discussions, it was agreed that the construction procedures of the Cosăuți-Yampol bridge will be accelerated, and it was also agreed to relaunch the Chisinau-Kiev train traffic.

"We discussed the need to rehabilitate the railway lines in Ukraine, between the stations Halta 111 - Basarabeasca, Halta 208 - Greceni, Etulia - Giurgiulesti. We also talked about facilitating the transit of trains in Ukraine through the railway sector Giurgiulesti - Reni - Etulia ”, he said.

Also, Spinu noted that it was agreed on all procedural aspects necessary to ensure, as soon as possible, the implementation of the liberalized regime of freight transport in bilateral regime and transit between both countries. "We were assured that in a short time the request to increase the quota of transit transit authorizations between the two states will be granted", he said.

Spinu will pay a working visit to Kiev on November 18-19. The official is accompanied by secretaries of state in transport and energy.

His working agenda includes several meetings with Ukrainian officials, such as Energy Minister German Hałuszczenko, Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, General Director of the GTS (Gas Transmission System Operator) in Ukraine, Sergei Makogon, NPC Director Ukrenergo, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi, general director of Ukrainian Railways Ukrzaliznytsia, Alexander Kanishin, executive director of Naftogaz, Yuriy Vitrenko, general director of Ukrtransgaz, Serhiy Pereloma.
