Moldovan government approves new composition of national council for war veterans' problems

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The national council for the problems of the war veterans will have a new composition and a revised regulation of work. The cabinet of ministers today approved a string of amendments to the decision on the concerned Council, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Under the document, the general secretaries of the newly created ministries, the heads of the public authorities, as well as the heads of some associations of war veterans will be included in the Council.

At the same time, to consolidate the optimize the activity of the national council for the problems of the war veterans, the cabinet will make technical completions to the regulation on the work of the consultative body.

The national council for the problems of the war veterans and their families was set up under Government Decision and is meant to improve the social protection of the war veterans from Moldova and their family members. This is a collegial consultative body with the goal to coordinate the state policies, programmes, plans and actions of social protection of the participants in armed conflicts.
