Moldovan government nominates its candidate for office of Audiovisual Council member

Chisinau, 19 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the putting forward to parliament of the candidacy of Liliana Vitu to the office of member of the Audiovisual Council on behalf of the government, the cabinet’s communication and protocol department has reported.
Liliana Vitu studied at the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences of the Moldovan State University (USM) and took her master’s degrees in Modern European Studies at the London Metropolitan University. Starting from 2018, she worked as coordinator on communication with media at the Swiss Cooperation Office in Moldova. Vitu also worked as coordinator on communication at the Eurasia Foundation and the Embassy of the United Kingdom in Chisinau. On the period 2013-2015, Liliana Vitu held the position of chief state adviser and spokeswoman of Moldova’s prime minister.
The Audiovisual Council is made up of seven members, of whom three ones are put forward by the parliamentary factions, two – by civil society’s organizations, one – by the government and one – by the Presidency. The Audiovisual Council’s members are nominated for mandate of six years.
