Tenth edition of ClassFest International Festival of Theatre and Film Schools to be held in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/ - Young cinema men from 11 countries will participate in the tenth edition of the ClassFest International Festival of Theatre and Film Schools, Cinematography section, due in Chisinau on 22-30 November. The event is organized by the Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy (AMTAP).
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the dean of the AMTAP Theatrical, Choreographic Art, Multimedia Faculty, the festival’s artistic director Svetlana Tartau said that this was an international artistic action, unique in Moldova, which promotes young cinema men, encourages the exchange of experience and professional relations between students, teachers, professionals from Moldova and the ones from European film schools, familiarizing the wide public with the films made by the young generation, promoting values of the contemporary art and the intercultural dialogue. ‘’The film screenings, workshops and other activities included in the agenda will be carried out in mixed format: online and with physical access, with a limited number of spectators, at the ARTCOR hall and the audience and the participants will have free access to the watching of the events included in the festival’s agenda,’’ Svetlana Tartau noted.
According to Tartau, the tenth issue of the festival in Chisinau brings together representatives of the following film schools: State Institute of Theatre and Cinematography from Yerevan, Armenia; Arts Academy from Vienna; National Academy of Arts from Belarus; School of Cinema and Audiovisual Sciences from Tours, France; Television and Film University from Munich; State University of Theatre and Film Shota Rustaveli, Georgia; Academy of Arts from Florence, Italy; National School of Film, Television and Theatre from Lodz, Poland; National University of Theatre and Film I.L. Caragiale from Bucharest, Romania; State Institute of Stage Arts from St. Petersburg, Russia; Music, Theatre and Fine Arts Academy from Chisinau, Moldova.
Over 70 feature films, documentaries, cartoons, will be presented at the festival, accompanied by discussions. The participants will be involved in workshops coordinated by cinema men of Moldova and from abroad.
The ceremony on the opening of the ClassFest International Festival of Theatre and Film Schools will take place at the ARTCOR centre for development of creative industries on 22 November at 17:00. The link of free access to the events will be placed on the Facebook page of the ClassFest Festival.
The event is organized in partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (general partner), French Alliance from Moldova, Embassy of Austria in Chisinau, Goethe – Zentrum Chisinau, ARTCOR centre for development of creative industries, Renam public association, OWH TV Studio and the Union of Cinema Men from Moldova.
