Poland to support creation of original tourist route in nortnern Moldova

Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ - Twelve settlements from three districts of northern Moldova will be united in a tourist route, unique for this region of Europe. The itinerary is created within a project implemented by the Terra Humana Foundation (Warsaw, Poland) and the Successors public association (Balti, Moldova), which provides for the creation of the eco-tourist route, The Rocks of Prut, in the Edinet, Rascani and Glodeni districts.
Within this project, representatives of the local authorities and business from the rural tourism will participate in a fact-collection visit to north Poland. On the period 22 November – 2 December, Moldova’s delegation will visit dozens of boarding houses, restaurants, museums and other attractions on more tourist itineraries. The Moldovan delegation will visit the routes, Travel with Pan Tadeusz, Kopaszewo Cross Procession, Itinerary Stanisław Leszczyński, more Polish castles and monasteries, routes covered with carriages pulled by horses and even a museum of distilled things.
The eco-tourist route, The Rocks of Prut, will include the settlements Viisoara, Cobani and Camenca from the Glodeni district, Costesti, Varatic, Druta, Boroseni and Mihaileni from the Rascani district and Branzeni, Gordinesti and Fetesti villages, Edinet district.
The project, Creation of the eco-tourist route, The Rocks of Prut, in the Edinet, Rascani and Glodeni districts, will implemented on the period 2021-2023. Within the project, an integrated eco-tourist offer will be developed, by using the Polish experience and strengthening the involvement of the members of 12 rural settlements (by four from each district) in the local social and economic development, through enhancing the tourist potential of the settlements and official registration of the national tourist route. The project is financed by Poland’s Foreign Affairs Ministry within the programme, Polish assistance for development 2021.
