Over 6,000 people called for ambulance on weekend

Chisinau, 23 November / MOLDPRES / -On November 19-21, the Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Service registered 6094 requests. 2,224 patients, including 473 children, were transported to the emergency departments of hospitals across the country.
According to the National Center for Prehospital Emergency Medical Care, respiratory emergencies were the most common reason for requests - 1,337 cases, followed by cardiovascular - 1,235, including 26 patients with acute coronary syndrome and neurological emergencies - 764 requests, including 98 strokes.
Also over the weekend, there were 21 road accidents, as a result of which 27 people with various injuries needed emergency medical care. Subsequently, 23 patients were transported to hospitals.
On weekend, the ambulance doctors gave first aid to ten people who were intoxicated with drugs and eight with alcohol.
