Chisinau residents must pay tax for sanitation till 25 December

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - The municipal councilors have not had enough votes to postpone the date of the payment of the sanitation tax; thus, till 25 December, the Chisinau residents should pay the tax worth 120 lei for 2021.     

At a today’s meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council (CMC), representatives of the finances department demanded the postponing of the payment of the sanitation tax of 120 lei till 31 July 2022. The reason for the demanded adjourning was the fact that the system of collection of this annual tax had not been completed as yet.   

The demand did not have a sufficient number of votes to be adopted. More municipal councilors declared against the adoption of this tax and abstained from voting. Thus, the deadline for the payment of this tax remains 25 December 2021.

The tax is paid by the people with residence permit in Chisinau, except for the exemptions applied based on the Fiscal Code (for pensioners, the invalids of the first and second degrees and young people up to the age of 18 years). According an earlier decision by CMC, the municipal authorities would have sent the payment advice till 31 October.
