Moldova, Romanian foreign affairs ministers of Moldova sign roadmap on priority sectors of cooperation between two countries

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu, in the presence of Presidents Maia Sandu and Klaus Iohannis, has signed, along with his Romanian counterpart Bogdan Aurescu, the roadmap on the priority fields of cooperation between Moldova and Romania. This is a comprehensive document, meant to speed up concretely Moldova’s European integration process, ensuring the economic and social development for the direct benefit of all citizens, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
„We today undertake in Bucharest new steps for Moldova’s rapprochement with Romania and the European area not only in words, but also in deeds and concrete actions. We agreed to give priority to the monitoring of projects’ implementation, public communication on the contribution of Romania, providing of a co-financing on behalf of Moldova, even symbolical,’’ the Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, said.
All actions enumerated in the roadmap will be in the focus of the authorities also at the next joint meeting of both governments.
