Law on state budget for 2022 to be considered in Moldova's parliament

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - The commission for economy, budget and finances today considered and will propose the draft law on the state budget for 2022 to the parliament’s plenum the approval.
Under the document, the state budget revenues next year will amount to 50.1 billion lei, up by 9.2 per cent against 2021. The overall expenses are estimated at 65.2 billion lei, which is by 13.1 per cent more against this year. The state budget deficit is scheduled to be 15.1 billion lei.
In terms of expenses, the draft sees allocations for increasing the assistance for the cold period of the year and increase in the number of beneficiaries of this help. Also, the partial compensation of the costs of the gas and thermal energy invoices for the households will continue.
The balance of the state debt on 31 December 2022 is estimated at 103.3 billion lei, which will account for 40.4 per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). At the same time, a GDP’s increase by 4.5 per cent is scheduled for the next year, an annual average inflation of 6.9 per cent, a 10.6-per cent increase in exports and a 5.1-per cent growth of imports, as well as a 10-per cent increase in the average salary on the economy against this year.
The draft state budget law is considered by the parliament in three readings.
