Price of health insurance policy not to increase in Moldova in 2022

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - The mandatory health insurance premium, both in form of percentage contribution of 9 per cent and in form of fixed sum of 4,056 lei, will be maintained at the level of this year in 2022 as well.
The parliament’s commission for social protection, health and family today approved the report on the draft law on the mandatory health insurance accounts (FAOAM) for the next year.
According to the draft, the mandatory health insurances accounts will have revenues and expenses of about 12.3 billion lei in 2022. The revenues will increase by 10.3 per cent and the expenses – by 8.3 per cent against this year.
The mandatory health insurance premiums, in form of percentage contribution to the salary and other recompenses, will amount to 5.9 billion lei, up by 919.4 million lei against the ones approved in 2021. At the same time, 5.9 billion lei is envisaged for the transfers from the state budget to FAOAM, in order to insure the categories of unemployed people, up by 227.7 million lei against the level approved for 2021.
This year, the cost of the health insurance policy is of 4,056 lei.
