Construction of bridge across Bic river to be finished in Moldova till end of 2021

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - The works on construction of a bridge across the Bic river and the passage across the railway on the M1 national road Border with Romania-Leuseni-Chisinau-Dubasari-Border with Ukraine, km 95-96, registers a progress of about 96 per cent. The works are to be finished by the end of this year.

According to the State Administration of Roads (ASD), presently the entrepreneur carries out works of setting contraction joints, elements of guiding the road traffic, consolidation of the embankments and finishing the street illumination.

Works of setting road signs and road marking are to be carried out too.

“The construction of the road across the Bic river and the passage across the railway is a complex, strategic, important project for Moldova’s infrastructure or, for this reason, we permanently monitor the carrying out of the works,’’ the ASD acting director general, Sergiu Bejan, said.

The project is worth over 34 million lei and is financed from road fund’s sources.
