Moldovan government allocates 10.8 million lei to sportspeople achiveing remarkable performances at international competitions

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers has provided the Education and Research Ministry 10.8 million lei for awarding prizes to the sportspeople who had achieved outstanding performances at international competitions. The money today was allocated from the government’s reserve fund, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
The prizes will be awarded to the sportspeople who achieved performances at the 32nd Summer Olympic Games and the 16th issue of the Paralympic Games from 2021, held in Tokyo, Japan, as well as to coaches and physicians who trained the Olympic team. At the Olympic Games, eight sportspeople from Moldova achieved results between the first and 8th places and five sportspeople, representatives of six national sports federations, received prizes at the Paralympic Games.
