12 candidates applied for position of member of Audiovisual Council

Chisinau, Nov. 25 / MOLDPRES /- Committee on culture, education, research, youth, sport and media has received the applications of candidates for the position of member of the Audiovisual Council.
According to the parliament secretariat, until November 22, 2021, the applications of the following candidates were submitted to the commission: Ruslan Mihalevschi, proposed by the Moldovan president, Liliana Vițu-Eșanu, proposed by the government, Orest Dabija and Larisa Turea, proposed by the Action and Solidarity Party faction, Tatiana Crestenco, proposed by the Communists and Socialists Bloc, Anastasia Svetlicinîi, proposed by the Shor Party faction, Eugeniu Rîbca, Ana Gonța, Valeriu Saharneanu, Larisa Călugăru, Alexandru Verșinin, proposed by civil society organisations and Marcel Dragan (incomplete file).
The commission members said they will invite for hearings the candidates whose files will meet the requirements provided by the Audiovisual Media Services Code.
According to the legislation, the Audiovisual Council consists of seven members, one proposed by the Moldovan president, one proposed by the government, three proposed by the parliamentary factions and two members proposed by the civil society organizations. The members of the Audiovisual Council are appointed for a single term of six years.
