Chisinau city hall to start winter holidays on 1 December

Chisinau, Nov. 25 / MOLDPRES /- Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban announced today that winter holidays in the capital will start on 1 December. Christmas trees will be set up in several locations in the city, and holiday lights will be turned on the main streets.

The mayor said that this year, the municipality of Chisinau will celebrate the Christmas holidays more widely. "The decrease in COVID-19 infection allows organization of Christmas fairs and events that will take place outdoors," he said.

According to Ceban, in all directions the roundabouts in the city will be placed festive elements, and in the square of the Metropolitan Cathedral will be arranged a Christmas tree. "The lighting of the holiday lighting will take place on 1 December at 17.15," he said.

Ceban noted that all winter events will be organized according to COVID-19 infection prevention rules and asked all visitors to follow the anti-epidemic rules.
