Joint Control Commission holds meeting in Bender

Chisinau, 25 November /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) today held an ordinary weekly meeting in Bender, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The participants in the discussions on organizational subjects ruled to include a new member in Russia’s delegation and the Moldovan side informed about the replacement of one military observer, whose mandate had expired.
The Joint Military Command reported the situation in the Security Zone on the period 17-23 November 2021. Among incidents, the servicemen highlighted two cases, in Cosnita and Rezina, when local residents detected by one old shell in the soil, both non-functional, which remained since the times of the World War II. In both cases, the shells were raised according to regulations by National Army engineers and carried to be defused in safety conditions.
The participants in the meeting approved the plan of common activities of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces for 2022.
The state of the equipment and infrastructure of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces was analyzed in the context of information presented quarterly by the Joint Military Command, according to a JCC decision from 2009.
The Commission will hold a meeting in one week, in order to resume discussions on important problems in the Security Zone.
