Chisinau, Nov. 26 / MOLDPRES /- The Official Journal today published the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers approving the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and that of the Republic of Lithuania on the conversion and mutual recognition of driving licenses, signed on October 7.

The provisions of the Agreement will provide Moldovan citizens, permanently or provisionally established in Lithuania, a number of benefits such as exemption from tuition and additional examination when changing driving licenses and the costs of this process, free movement in international traffic, including by facilitating the conclusion of contracts for work.

The agreement continues the foreign policy measures of the Republic of Moldova, aimed at developing and strengthening good relations with the member states of the European Union. Thus, through this document, both the citizens of Moldova and Lithuania will benefit from the right to convert their driving license, without taking the theoretical and practical exams, which corresponds to the interests of both states.
