Moldovan state to offset some of bills for gas, heat

Chisinau, Nov. 26 / MOLDPRES /- Household consumers will benefit from compensation for the consumption of gas and heat, as a result of the increase in tariffs for the utilities. A bill to that effect was voted in a final reading by parliament yesterday.

According to the document, compensations will be offered in proportion of 67%, for the first 50m3 of natural gas consumed, and for the next 100 m3 - compensation with 50% of the amount of the difference between the price in the billing month and the price in October 2021.

The difference of 67 percent for the first gigacalorie consumed will also be compensated. Compensation will also benefit citizens who are supplied with thermal energy produced by the boiler room of the apartment building.

Thus, the maximum compensation offered for natural gas consumption will be 540 lei, and the compensation for the first gigacalorie consumed will be 450 lei.
