CNA detained person on corruption scheme when issuing Covid certificates

Chisinau, Nov. 26 / MOLDPRES /- A man who acted as an intermediary in the corruption scheme when issuing Covid certificates was detained by the CNA.

According to CNA, the man was documented in another 7 episodes in which he allegedly claimed and received bribes to organize the issuance of documents, with the entry of data in the register of vaccination certificates against COVID-19.

The intermediary identified those who wanted to be vaccinated, which he directed to certain medical staff, where the dose of immunization against Covid was thrown away, and information about the vaccination was entered truthfully in the database. Currently, the man is under criminal investigation for trafficking in influence and risks up to 7 years of detention or a fine of up to 200 thousand lei.
