Moldovan authorities approved harvest quotas for 2021-2022 hunting season

Chisinau, Nov. 29 / MOLDPRES /- The Ministry of Environment has approved the harvest quotas for some species of fauna of hunting interest, for which hunting is allowed for 2021-2022. An order to this effect was published in the Official Journal on 26 November.
According to the document, the harvest quotas approved by this order are made by each manager of the hunting funds for each species of fauna of hunting interest and in the hunting periods established by law. "The obligations and regulations in force in the field of hunting will be observed, regarding the order, manner and means used for the good organization and conduct of hunting of specimens of wildlife species of hunting interest in the hunting funds of the Republic of Moldova, following conservation of the biodiversity of the hunting fauna and preservation of the ecological balance ”, the order reads.
Harvest quotas for 2021-2022 hunting season have been set for the following species: hare, pheasant, collared pigeon, goose, duck, lychee, pond hen and wild boar.
Thus, in the hunting season 2021-2022, launched with the publication of the order in the Official Journal, the share of harvesting (hunting) on predominantly forested land, assigned to associations of hunters and fishermen by local public authorities is 54,908 pieces: rabbit - 9,892 animals; pheasants - 25,770 birds; collared pigeon - 6,172 birds; wild geese - 887 birds; wild ducks, foxes and marsh hens - 12,187 birds.
