First snow expected in Moldova this week

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - This week will be marked by moderate air temperatures, variable cloud and the first snow is expected in the end of the period, according to the State Hydrometeorological  Service (SHS).    

According to meteorologists, the air temperatures will oscillate between +1 and +13 Celsius degrees during the day, with the highest air temperatures forecast in the central and southern regions on 3 December. Frost is expected at night, which will exceed the limit of -5 degrees; traditionally, the lowest air temperatures are expected in north Moldova.

Variable cloud is forecast in most part of the week, sunny weather preponderantly and precipitation is expected in the end of the week.  Thus, according to SHS, short rains are possible in the northern region on 3 December and on 4 and 5 December, the first light snow and sleet is forecast in the northern and central regions.
