National road segment from north Moldova to be rehabilitated till next spring

Chisinau, 29 November /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the State Administration of Roads (ASD) today inspected the works for the restoration of the R6 national road, Chisinau – Orhei – Balti (bypass road of the Sangerei town and the Prepelita – Saratenii Vechi road segment) and the preparation of the construction site with the appropriate road signs for the 2021-2022 winter season. The project is to be finished in next spring.

According to ASD, the works on the rehabilitation of the national road are divided into two segments with an overall length of about 30 km and registers a process of implementation of 70 per cent on the first segment and over 27 per cent on the second one.

The project is worth about 36 million euros, allocated to Moldova’s government by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. ‘’The entrepreneur is to fully complete the contractual works till March 2022,’’ ASD said.
